Campaign Contributions
By making a contribution through this website, you affirm that:
-
You are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
-
You are at least 18 years old
-
You are contributing from your own funds
-
You are not making a contribution on behalf of a corporation, labor organization, or other prohibited entity under Texas law
-
You understand that contributions are not tax‑deductible
The Campaign is required by the Texas Ethics Commission to collect certain personal information from donors for campaign finance reporting. This includes your name, address, occupation, and employer. Your information will be used solely for compliance and reporting purposes.

Note: Campaign contributions whether for a school board race, city council race, or any other political campaign are not tax‑deductible because the IRS classifies them as political contributions, not charitable donations.
Refund Policy (Texas Campaign Requirements)

Under Texas Ethics Commission rules, campaign contributions are generally not refundable, except in specific circumstances. To ensure transparency and compliance, the Campaign follows this policy:

1. Non‑Refundable Contributions
All contributions made to the Campaign are final and non‑refundable, except where required by law. Campaign funds cannot be returned simply because a donor changes their mind.

2. Refunds Required by Law
A refund will be issued if:
-
A contribution is received from a prohibited source, such as a corporation
-
A contribution exceeds legal limits (if applicable)
-
A contribution cannot be accepted due to reporting or eligibility restrictions
In these cases, the Campaign will return the contribution to the original donor using the original payment method whenever possible.

3. Duplicate or Erroneous Transactions
If a donor believes a contribution was made in error (e.g., duplicate charge, incorrect amount), they may contact the Campaign within 7 days of the transaction. The Campaign will review the request and issue a refund if appropriate under Texas law.

4. Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed as quickly as possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment processor or financial institution.
